The saddest part is that these guys are just the tip of the DEI academic fraud iceberg... How about Hannah Nicole Jones (of The 1619 Project that the NYT shoved down everyone's throats,) anyone? Or Sheila Jackson Lee, the late ccongressWOMAN from Houston (our pride and joy!). NYU, Yale (BA), U VA (JD) - this woman was barely beyond functionally literate, yet still held degrees from some of America's most prestigious universities. Again, far more an indictment of them than her.
Self loathing whites - especially white women - are responsible for the destruction of academia and culture in the West. We're going to pay a severe price because of the debasement of intellectual rigor they've brought on.

Lazy and dumb professors teach students to be lazy and dumb. If it were only professors that they graduated, the damage would be confined to the academic institutions...but they also produce engineers and technicians. And they're the ones who keep the lights on.

Those aren't courses at Cambridge. Those are titles of PhD theses in the sociology and gender studies departments. Cambridge, like Oxford, doesn't offer "courses" in the American sense of the word. Undergraduates are admitted to read only one subject (History, Maths, Chemistry) for their degree. The university has lecture series, but they are not graded courses as in America. Oxbridge doesn't follow the American liberal arts BA model at all.
I know how this must pain you, Brad. Welcome to the club. My idea of what a lawyer should be was formed in the late 50s and early 60s, and I watched the profession circle the bowl for about 50 years. This is a very good article and calls to mind many personal experiences which incline me to agree. I have always felt, for example, that Judith Butler exploits the same weaknesses in academia, amongst some disabled people in general, and amongst disabled people in academia who could protest but do not. That class list is insanity, though.
The blame for this should be divided equally between Mr. Arday and the people who hired him. Those of us in American academia know how this is done, and we know that the partnership between faculty and administration is...incestual. This is proving to be a terminal illness. :)
Those who see and report the truth are marginalized or driven off, which makes lies of this magnitude not only possible, but highly probable. Lies become reality, reality becomes curriculum, curriculum becomes action.
Thankfully, graduates of the leading unreal curriculum are being rejected by the private sector, but academia welcomes them with open arms. Thus, academia absorbs more of the poison they produce. Here in the US, administrators are graduates of the same institutions that handed them their degrees. One might say that, in the US at least, the "chickens have come home to roost." It looks like England is suffering from the same terminal illness.

That’s a really long time. Obviously, no one recalls the Billings scandal.
