The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (No. 56)

Thanks everyone for the kind comments and emails on my last essay, “Founding the American Way of Life.” The essay is my attempt to solve a puzzle (i.e., the causal relationship between constitutional forms and cultural mores) that has bothered me ever since my time in graduate school some 30+ years ago. I couldn’t solve the puzzle then, but I think I’m on to something now. My next long-form essay coming out in a couple of weeks will attempt to further work out the logic of the argument.

The Good

THE SCIENCE IS SETTLED:  Harvard scholars: Marriage makes women happier and healthier.
