"They support socialism because they think it’s moral."
Their so called morality is a smoke screen so they can claim the high ground. It's power they're after, period. For them morality is a means, nothing more.
"The EU is not your friend" kind of hit home for me. I visited a number of European countries within the past year. People are afraid to say anything even remotely controversial. Speaking with a person in Munich, and saying "the weather is nice" was deemed safe, but I learned that there was a connotation that it questioned the climate change narrative. He preferred, "it is a nice morning." The EU is in trouble, and it's spreading.
Excellent point "They support socialism because they think it's moral." The Left uses the morality of self-sacrifice to advance their nihilism. Anyone opposing communism/socialism must understand this, as the "socialism is impractical" arguments are useless.
Love that painting by Albert Bierstadt, a very underappreciated artist. I love his dramatic compositions that the painting you posted shows, as well as his unusual, "idealized" color. He had a sense of drama and idealization in his landscapes. He is superb.
Reading a history of Weimar. Hits close to home

The short video by Thomas Sowell is brilliant. The man is a national treasure.
