It captures a father’s sadness and sense of loss, and it captures a son’s excitement and sense of hope. The father’s world—as he created it, knew it and loved it—is coming to an end. He’s losing someone he loves deeply. His pain is palpable. The son’s world is about to change because it means leaving home and his parents. The boy can now live out his dreams for the future, leaving the father with his past.
